Most finance teams running a legacy Dynamics ERP are told the same thing: migrate first, get value later. We think that is backwards. This accelerator lands your on-premises GP, SL, AX or NAV data into Microsoft Fabric, builds a dimensional model your finance team recognises, and prepares it properly for AI — so Copilot and Fabric data agents can answer questions against your actual ledger. Your ERP keeps running exactly as it is.
Pointing Fabric mirroring at a legacy Dynamics database sounds simple and is not. These are the failure modes we build around — each one is documented by Microsoft, and each one lands hardest on exactly these schemas.
Change data capture requires a declared primary key on every mirrored table. Legacy schemas are full of unique clustered indexes that are not primary key constraints.
Case-insensitive character keys can duplicate on mirroring. GP's keys are exactly this shape. It fails quietly — no error, just wrong numbers.
There is a cap on tables per mirrored database, and overflow is silent. A curated manifest per module beats "mirror everything".
GP ships several all-inclusive updates a year that alter tables, and schema changes break mirroring. That needs monitoring and an automated re-enable path, not a phone call.
Multi-company GP means one mirrored item per company plus the system database. Consolidation is mandatory, not a nice-to-have.
Certain legacy column types are dropped silently in transit. Note and comment tables are the usual casualties.
